Chillax Sunday :)

Sunday morning. It has been ages since we last had breakfast at Olden Days, TTDI. Before sending me off to office, Kimi had white coffee cravings, hence we went to Taman Tun Dr Ismail for breakfast, or brunch I must say. Curry mee for me and dried curry mee for Kimi.

My thoughts: the white coffee always makes you craving for more :). The curry mee has some missing taste (I think they have new cook), hence I added the sambal nasi lemak, and automatically it tastes better.

Venue:
Olden Days Ipoh White Coffee
Taman Tun Dr Ismail
60000 Kuala Lumpur

Price:
Curry Mee RM6.80
Dry curry Mee RM7.50
Hazelnut white Coffee RM4.00

Butter & Kaya toast RM2.00

Marilah Djeumpa :)

I bought RM40 voucher for the price of RM18.00. Kimi and I stuffed our tummies full with DJeumpa's food. DJeumpa is the brainchild of Chef Zaidah, a well-known local chef for authentic Malay cuisine and home made dessert. I would say the price is value for money. I might be biased as I always love Fruit Rojak, but I do like the fruit rojak here (well, actually Kimi ate more than half of it). Mee Rebus Tulang and the fried rice is quite good too.

My thoughts: let us support local food :)

(Ini bukan makanan - This is not food.)

Tomyummy!

It has been 2 weeks since I last updated my blog. It doesn't mean that I didn't do any dining out. I am trying not to put duplicate places in the blog, unless they have new, recommended, super delicious food in their menu.

I went to Cameron Highlands on 9th February, and it was a great breakaway indeed. And I forgot updating the blog after the vacation. My bad!

Last Sunday night (17th February 2013), I decided to eat at Austin Chase at Intermark. I bought RM80 voucher at a price of RM36 earlier. However, the counter was already closed though it was just 8pm. So, we change to plan B: tomyam at Sukhumvit!

Sukhumvit restaurant is a great place for Thai food lovers. You can also order set meals if you're eating with your big family. It was just Kimi (my brother) and I, hence we just ordered ala carte - but still sharing basis :)

And my thought: Sukhumvit tomyam, so far, is the best tomyam for me. I love the mixed taste of hot, sour and sweet, its just perfect to my liking.

Venue:
Sukhumvit Restaurant
67, Jalan Hamzah
Kampung Baru
50300 Kuala Lumpur

Price:
Ordered from stall:
Sticky rice with mango RM5.00
Keropok Lekor RM5.00 (slightly overpriced)
Ordered from Sukhumvit:
White rice
Sukhumvit tomyam (terbaik!)
Mixed vege with salted fish
Telur dadar
Iced lemon tea and fresh orange
Total from Sukhumvit RM28.00

Where's the chocolate?

It was Saturday night. I asked Farah to accompany me for dinner at Chocolate before sending me home. I actually do not prefer to go to crowded places. Usually, The Curve is packed with people on weekend. But since it was already 9.00pm, Farah agreed to drive to The Curve.

Chocolate Lounge is a cozy restaurant, which is located next to Royal Bintang The Curve and just opposite to the live band performance stage (not The Laundry one). There's always a group of 4 singers, performing English/Malay/other songs. Well, previously I tried Ms Coco Frappe & chocolate fondue and they were good. But that night, we just want to have a light bite of dinner (and enjoy the music).

My thoughts: They said they want to discontinue operation in February, but was being informed later that it might not be happening this month ~ so I still have the chance to do quick-choc-visit for their chocolatey items.

Venue:
Theobroma Chocolate Lounge
Lot G52 The Street
The Curve Mutiara Damansara
47800 Petaling Jaya

Price:
Chicken Teriyaki Ciabata [set with Ice Lemon Tea] RM15.90
Tuna Croissant [set with Ice Lemon Tea] RM15.90
Vanilla Sundae RM2.50

Feb-ulous Friday

Salam jumaat mubarakah ~ the day of rahmah. I am truly thankful to Allah for still being here for another Jumaat, and having enough of everything, insyaAllah. Maybe I don't have much, but Allah definitely know what I need, syukur alhamdulillah.

After 3 days of month-end closing craziness, here I am again, updating my blog, of the food that I have tested and "OK"ed (well, I never disrespect food). This is one of the not so many places I go for breakfast, because I rarely eat breakfast. Only on Fridays when Kimi is on off-day and I don't really have to rush to office.

And my thought: please remind me not to take nasi lemak a day after month-end closing. I feel vewwwwwwwy shleepy and all I want to do is leaving my work. Percaya tak?

Venue:
Village Park Restaurant
Damansara Utama 5, Jalan SS21/37
47400 Petaling Jaya

Price:
Nasi Lemak Ayam Goreng RM8.30
Singapore Mee Rebus RM6.00
